Built by Artists, for Artists Mukhavaran is a community of people who live and breathe theatre – actors, designers, and writers who believe that the only way to truly reach the audience is through honesty. Founded by Mr. Sahil Ahuja in July 2016, we’ve been a home for those who don’t just want to “act,” but want to understand the craft. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been on stage for years, this is a place where your passion meets the discipline.

Sahil Ahuja is the driving force behind Mukhavaran’s “Complete Artist” philosophy. A visionary director and mentor with two decades of experience, Sahil is known for a relentless work ethic that demands—and inspires—absolute excellence.
The Pedigree Sahil’s craft is built on a foundation of rigorous training under the veterans of India’s premier institutions:
- Directly Trained by veterans of the National School of Drama (NSD) and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.
- A Dedicated Disciple of the legendary Guru G. Venu G. (Master of Koodiyattam and Kathakali), specializing in the profound craft of Navarasa Sadhana.
The Philosophy Sahil doesn’t just train actors; he architects “Theatre-Makers.” His approach is a rare fusion of ancient Indian aesthetic discipline and sharp, modern Western techniques.
The Mentor Known for his “crazy” passion and uncompromising standards, Sahil is a gem of a teacher who works tirelessly on every student. Actioning is a professional technique used to break down scripts into specific psychological “actions.” We are one of the few groups that specialize in this, helping you solve character “stuckness” and giving you a logic-based edge in auditions.

Our students are pushed through a rigorous cycle of two full-length productions and experimental projects on prestigious stages like Shri Ram Centre, Indian Habitat Centre, LTG, etc. We provide the "Crucible of Performance" where your classroom learning is evaluated in front of a live audience.
